Welcome to Project EagleEyes

Introduction

Welcome to Project EagleEyes. By default, you will hear only what is necessary for you to navigate this site. Any other speech functionality must be invoked manually by following the instructions given when you open the main page. Unsigned ActiveX Control Before we continue, it is noteworthy to mention that the site's speech capabilities will not work if you do not click 'Yes' on the warning screen, as depicted on the left of this text. For more about this, please read this additional information.

Keys

The Enter key, in conjunction with the Control key will be your mainstay while using this site. This key combination will read the main text of the current page to you. For more information about our choice of keys, please read this handbook page. Using Control in conjunction with the Del key will activate the menu for the particular page. When the NumLock key is activated, you can't use the Del key on the number keypad. Read more about that here.

Later navigational plans

Later navigational plans include speech recognition, but there are currently quite a lot of sponsorship required to make that happen. Keep watching this space!

Future expansions

Future expansions include to dynamically updating of the menu with links to follow as well as links to information on all media items on the current page. These functions are not implemented yet, but will eventually be accessible from the menu (using the Control + Del key combination).

Hear this text again
